I'm going to be more active blogging beginning today.

This is a piece I wrote a few months ago as a mock ad for a product I can see someone programming.

Try the new MicroSupplicant AutoPray (beta) 1.77

Do you ever hear a prayer request and intend to pray for it but forget? Do you ever wonder whether God would have answered your prayer if you had just prayed a little harder or a little more often? Do you ever wonder if your prayers go unheard because God is too busy listening to the millions of other prayers?

With the MicroSupplicant AutoPray, you can cast your human failings aside and enter into a new era of automated connection to the divine. The easy-to-use Prayer-Buddy™ Wizard will guide you through a process of submitting the cares of your heart to a computer program that will do your praying for you. You can specify the frequency (Up to 10 million repetitions a second), the expiration (from 1 second to 10,000 years), the fervor (from timid request to bold demand), and adjust for 186 different variables (such as mood, language – currently in English, Spanish, Estonian and Mandrin Chinese, doctrinal leanings, syntax, and more). You can even program it to pray at specific times each day.

Why worry about time that would be better spent doing good works? MS AutoPray can pray for you – more often, more quickly, and more consistently than you ever would or could.

Now, when you tell someone, “I’ll be praying about that.” You can keep your promise with just a few easy clicks. Don’t hesitate. Begin your life of prayer today!

You can choose from the following versions: Christian (Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant), Jewish (Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform), Hindu, Muslim (Sunni, Shia, and Sufi), Pagan, and Interfaith. (More versions are in the works!)

For more information and to download the newest version, go to our website at www.autopray.com

Clever yet synical. You could make a bundle on this especially if you sell it as a software package for churches. Perhaps you can tie online giving to it for each time a prayer is answered.

Hilarious. The sad thing is there are probably a lot of people who would actually think this is a good idea. Have you considered adding an "Absolvatron" plug-in for the Roman Catholics?
